This discussion based exercise is planned for 6.5 hours. The NC Public Health Preparedness and Response (PHP&R) Branch, a part of the Division of Public Health (DPH),
within the Department for Health and human Services (NC DHHS), is hosting this CHEMPACK table top exercise. During this TTX, NC PHP&R staff will discuss and
validate the timelines and procedures for distributing and transferring medical countermeasures (MCM) from the CHEMPACKs stationed around the state of NC in support of
a chemical response according to our North Carolina CHEMPACK Plan. A chemical response involving CHEMPACK deployment requires pre-planned, multiagency
coordination at the local level to ensure these assets are mobilized in an efficient and timely manner. To that end, the maximum benefit of this TTX will be achieved if key
planning representatives from local Public Health, Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, Hospitals, and 911/Public Safety Access Points (PSAPs) are all
able to attend together to coordinate and discuss local response plans throughout the modules.
