The purpose of this Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Train-the-Trainer Course is to produce competent instructors for the CERT Basic Training Course. A competent CERT instructor:
- delivers the CERT Basic Training Course accurately, conveying the messages and intent of the CERT Program (e.g., safety, teamwork, place in overall community emergency operations plan).
- assures that participants achieve the objectives of the CERT Basic Training Course.
- delivers training effectively and at an appropriate level, this enabling participants to learn and correctly apply skills sets.
- creates a comfortable yet managed learning environment.
Course includes classroom and hands-on activities. We welcome people of all abilities.

CERT - Community Emergency Response Team Basic Training Class (NC-317) Will accept CERT Basic Training from any state. FEMA IS-317 is acceptable, but it is preferred for students to have had in-person training for Basic.
