This advanced course will take the student beyond the FAA part 107 course fly day. Students will be expected to work as a team in the following scenarios,
but not limited to:
- Locating a missing subject outdoors
- Searching for a subject indoors
- Flying and passing the NIST props course
- Looking for evidence of a person that is experiencing severe hypothermia
- Searching an abandoned vehicle
- Locating placards on Hazardous Materials loads
Students should have drone flight experience. These scenarios would reflect the work that you do in the field.
Students will utilize monitors to keep Command apprised of all flights. Students will be working outside in all weathers. Appropriate attire is required.
Equipment Needed: Personal or Agency drone that the student normally operates and extra batteries.
