This class will prepare you to be a commercial drone pilot and meet FAA Part 107. FAA says if you use a drone to take photos or videos and they are used for any purposes that may be used other for hobbyist purposes, you need to meet Part 107. Commercial examples would be for search and rescue, damage assessment, and flying overhead for commercial and residential fires. Upon completion of the class, you will have the knowledge to take and pass the FAA 60 question test.
Drone flight operations are not part of this class. Students may bring their agency drone for presentation purposes.
