Course Overview
This course introduces public safety personnel to drone mapping operations for natural
disasters and large-scale events. Students will learn the fundamentals of flight planning,
mapping platforms, data collection, and how to integrate mapping products into
emergency response and incident command operations.
Course Objectives
• Understand the role of drone mapping in public safety operations
• Learn basic mapping flight planning and mission setup
• Identify appropriate drones, sensors, and software for mapping
• Collect accurate aerial data safely and efficiently
