Foundational Knowledge and Theory         Day 1 – Classroom Instruction  

  • Course Introduction and fire/rescue boat overview
  • Types, classes, and missions of fire/rescue boat overview
  • Rescue Boats, Law Enforcement Boats, and Civilian Boats
  • Pumps, Monitors, and Emergency Procedures
  • Crew roles, communications, and coordination
  • Marine safety considerations, anchoring, and PPE
  • Operational considerations and Q&A

Basic Fire Boat Operations  Day 2 – Practical Skills Training

  • Safety briefing and vessel orientation
  • Boarding, disembarking, and movement
  • Line handling, knot fundamentals, and anchoring
  • Pump operations and water flow control
  • Basic boat handling and maneuvering
  • Integrated crew drills

Applied Marine Firefighting Skills   Day 3 – Practical Skills Training 

  • Review and safety briefing
  • Patient loading/unloading, dewatering
  • Beaching, close quarters, and marinas
  • Coordination with shore-based companies
  • Towing and support operations
  • Emergency procedures and crew safety
  • Scenario-based evolutions and debrief
  • Review key concepts and skills
  • Questions and discussion. Course feedback
