The Wilderness First Aid course provides real world first aid training tailored to search professionals. This course provides both knowledge and skills necessary to provide first aid to teammates or missing persons in the wilderness environment when commercial medical equipment may not be present. This course will be a combination of powerpoint presentations and applied practical scenarios. Material for this class includes basic medical knowledge for those that have little to no prior knowledge and will serve as a refresher for those with advanced medical training or certifications. 

The Wilderness First Aid course is a requirement for those certified through National Association of Search and Rescue (NASAR) for SAR TECH recertification.
