NCEM Shelter Overhead Team (NC-6-002)

The Shelter Overhead Team Class is designed to train experienced shelter managers and staff to lead and coordinate emergency shelter operations at a higher level. This course focuses on advanced shelter management principles, including team leadership, logistics coordination, resource management, and multi-agency collaboration. Participants will learn how to oversee shelter operations, address complex challenges, and ensure compliance with state and federal sheltering standards. Through interactive exercises and real-world scenarios, this class prepares individuals to serve as key decision-makers within the Shelter Overhead Team during disasters and large-scale emergencies.
