Challenge participants to manage a custom weather-related incident management scenario. The incident is designed to be regional, but the Incident Management Team will focus on the plausible issues within Union County. Not more than 2 Incident Management Teams will be rostered for this exercise. Each team can have between 8-15 members. The exercise is limited to 30 participants.
· Fill command and general staff, and other necessary roles on an Incident Management Team to work for Union County.
· Understand and react appropriately to weather related warnings and challenges in a heavily populated suburban environment.
· Manage simulated field activities impacted by severe weather in Union County.
· Communicate and coordinate with Emergency Management for situational awareness and resource ordering.
· Achieve evaluations for participants seeking NC-Incident Management Team position task book completion.
· Build relationships and practice the craft of incident management in North Carolina
