The HSEEP Training Course is an intermediate-level training course that incorporates exercise guidance and best practices from the HSEEP policy documents. The course prepares participants for exercise planning activities through identification of the five phases of the exercise process, the tasks associated with each phase, where exercises fall within the cycle, and the critical role exercises play in preparing the whole community to respond and recover from major emergencies. The course is designed to convey the importance of utilizing HSEEP resources as a primary planning tool for the Nation’s emergency preparedness officials when engaged in the management, design, development, conduct, evaluation, and improvement of their Emergency Response programs.
The HSEEP Training Course is a classroom instructor delivered course to field public and private sector organizations where participants learn about topics including:
• Program management
• Design and development
• Conduct
• Evaluation
• Improvement planning
The goal of the course is to provide professions with a set of guiding principles for exercise programs, as well as a common approach to exercise program management, design and development, conduct, evaluation, and improvement planning. Through the use of HSEEP, exercise program managers can develop, execute, and evaluate exercises that address the priorities established by their organization’s leaders.

Student must provide the instructor a copy of the IS 120(a) and IS 130 completion certificate at the beginning of the course.
Students must complete and submit a Federal Course registration form 119-25-1 at the end of the course. Students may not use a SSN, and must have federally issued ID. If you do not have a federally issued ID, please the instructions below for obtaining one.
The lead instructor will submit the student's 119-25-1 and prerequisite information to NCEM for processing and submission to DHS. Students will not receive completion credit if any of the required documentation is missing.

Step 2: Click on the "Need a FEMA SID" box on the right side of the screen.
Step 3: Follow the instructions and provide the necessary information to create your account.
Step 4: You will receive an email with your SID number. You should save this number in a secure location.
