This con-ed session is a requirement for any CapRAC team member wanting to work on a special event medical team. (First Night, Balloon Festival, etc.)
Attendance at a session and a successful skills check off is required for all MRC and SMAT members.
These sessions are used as training opportunities to ensure all team members are trained to a minimum standard.
The practice session of this course will cover the following topics: CPR / AED / BVM / Tourniquets / Radios
Also covered are the expectations of a medical team and how all this fits together in real world situation.
Your checkoff will consist of a 2 person roving team working a code scenario. You are working as a team but being checked off individually. Any part of this can be practiced as many times as needed before being checked off. The check off sheet will be provided at the start of class so you know what to practice.
