This class prepares Public Safety personnel to begin the process of starting a UAS / drone program in their agency as well as to sit for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot exam and the NCDOT UAS Operator Permit test. Both of which are required for a public safety UAS program in North Carolina.
- Day one eight hours of classroom instruction.
- Day two eight hours of classroom instruction
- Day three will be eight hours of hands-on basic flight training.
- Day four continued hands-on flight training in simulated real-life scenarios.
All hands-on flight training will be conducted utilizing equipment similar to what the students may be using at their home station.
