Swiftwater/Flood Rescue Communications Specialist (SFRCS) (NC-8279)

This class is for swift water rescue team members that will be filling the communications role on the team.  The class covers basic communications infrastructures, including 800mHz, VHF, UHF, and HF Communications capabilities along with equipment uses and deployment practices for those in austere environments.  The class includes a basic understanding of sartopo, survey 123, and arcgis SAR team technologies. This class meets the basic requirement for communications training as required by the state swift water and USAR team agreements. The class is 2 days for a total of 20 hours.
